Blackfishing is a form of cultural appropriation, whereby the person pretends to be black or mixed race. The term is derived from the colloquialism “catfishing”, when someone is lured into a relationship by means of a fictional or enhanced online personality

Jessy nelson has recently been called out on TikTok for the way she has presented herself in the new music video bad boy.

Jessy nelson was member of the singing group little mix, but has now left to go solo.

Her new music video featuring Niki minaj shows Jessy in hair brades with a very dark complexion.The video also has a group of black dancers in the shot Where she sings the lyrics “I like a bad bad boy”.

While black fishing is wrong I don’t think having a tan is really that offensive, but I can also see why people are calling her out. She’s always been a tanned Essex girl and it is considered normal in that area of the country.

I think people need to realize that this is how the woman acts and dresses. I don’t think she mocking black people, but. you could argue that many black talented artist don’t get the credit they deserve.

Most fans admitted to thinking she was mixed race and was shocked. There are many celebrities who look mixed race but are 100% white.

Many other celebrities have been accused of black fishing such as Kim Kardashian. I think we all need to learn about different cultures but could also embrace our own.

What are your thoughts? I understand both arguments.

Gender Fluid Confusion as a young Teen

I’ve always been a tom boy. but never thought about my gender overall, but I had some issues and felt i had to change who I was to please the people around me,

From age 6 I was aware of the stereotypical gender rolls I understood the differences between a girl and a boy. But I was very unhappy with being a girl pink was forced on me, I enjoyed getting dirty and playing with swords. I hated wearing dresses and skirts but Im lucky my mum never pushed me to wear clothes I didn’t want to wear.

When I learnt Id start having a period and Id start growing breasts Id have panic attacks family members would comment on my Growing figure and I would gag. I was a skater, Id look and act like a boy I would cover my long blonde hair and wear baggy shirts to cover my chest.

I knew I was into boys very early in life and my tom boy appearance did not help with getting a boyfriend I was a show off I was good at gymnastics Id hope this would Impress the lads but just made them annoyed. My friends always told me that I wasn’t ugly I just needed to wear makeup so that boys would like me. I would borrow my mum’s foundation, she is 4 shades darker than me and I would wear bold black eyeliner on my bottom of my lash line I just looked like a Cheeto.

I fell In love with a boy who told me I was not feminine enough for him that was so upsetting for me to feel like If I wanted a boy to like me I would have to act like a girly girl.

I hate It when men stare at me. I hate wearing a bra. I hate showing my legs and acting cute. Sometimes I wish I could grow a beard and say whatever I want. I am sick of being told that my time is running out that i need to have children and get married.

I don’t like being a grown woman but Being a man doesn’t appeal to me either I just was to be comfortable in my own body I want to be myself. I’m not as stressed out as I was when I was younger I don’t mind wearing a dress to a party.

I don’t really understand non binary and still have identity issues Id like to learn about myself. I started developing body dysmorphia in my late teens I started skin picking, wearing heavy make up and binge eating. But now I have let go of my insecurity’s and have grown to love myself. I always thought I was transgender and would say I want to be a man, I am 25 now and I know I no longer have those feelings.

Brian Laundrie’s Remains Found Watching the Brain Laundrie hunt from the UK

I cant Believe it! Brian laundries remains have been found in Calton reserve in Florida. After 4 weeks searching, His parents Chris Laundrie and Robretra Laundrie discovered some articles of clothing and a bag containing his items including a note book. The FBI where called to search the reserve to find partial remains.

The DNA results from dental records confirmed the Identity that was Brian Laundrie, the North Port Police told NBC News earlier Thursday that the remains were “skeletal. Though the area had been searched extensively, the attorney said it had been underwater and the evidence was only found because the water had receded.

who Is Brian Laundrie ?

Brian Laundrie is a prime suspect in the missing of 22 years old woman named Gabby Petito. They have been dating each other for a very long time and was recently got engaged in a private ceremony.

Mr Laundrie was not charged with crimes relating to Ms Petito’s killing. However, the FBI issued a federal arrest warrant and charged him with fraudulently using her debit card after her death.

Brain’s Causes of death has yet to be determined

The details of Laundrie’s death remain a mystery after the autopsy on Friday failed to identify a cause of death. His bones are now set to be sent to an anthropologist for further analysis but we may never know If it was suicide. However the notebook that was found 5 minutes away from I’m might reveal some new information and a confession.

My Sleep Apnea Skincare Routine

For people with sleeping issuse like sleep apnea you might find it difficult to have a effective skincare routine because you sleep through the day. I have sleep apnea my self and struggle with hormornal dehydrated skin.

I can go to sleep at 11pm and not wake up till 2pm the next day so adding suncreen to my routine doesnt feel worth the effort. although… the evidance shows you should definatly add sunscreen to your face after moisturizer no matter what, you shouldnt skip!.

You loose the most amount of water from your skin when you are sleeping (eperdermal water loss) so over sleeping can cause dry/dehydrated skin.

Make sure you drink plenty of water before you go to sleep its suggested to have 8 glasses of water per day. also to cut down of caffine and refined sugar switch to alternatives like matcha or chai tea.

wake yourself up with a cool shower as soon as you wake up then moisturise get dressed brush you teeth est

I keep my routine as basic as possible Ive tried adding vitamin C and retinol but they seem to make my skin dry and irrated.

I suggest either cerave hydrating cleanser or the la roche posey milky cleanser.

Social Anxiety disorder 

If you get anxious around groups of people that is a very good reason not to be pushed into social interactions. If you suffer from social anxiety disorder I’m assuming you’ve made people angry and upset at your lack of communication and involvement in people’s lives. 

You come across as boring and selfish… but making friends is hard for you you hate first impressions and the awkward small talk you think people judge you and laugh at your weird untrendy personality.

Your a very negative person who wants to please everyone and the best way to do that is to stay out of there way because you think you’re a waste of time. 

Your not very competitive people think your lazy, your very lonely but you don’t fit in you want to be someone everyone loves and enjoys being with but you feel people don’t like you so much, you are very clumsy and slightly nerdy you are your own person your more interesting than you think! 🙂 

Learn to love yourself get to know yourself do what makes you feel comfortable and happy because you are important and your mental health comes first. 

Being on the spectrum! 

Everyone Is on the spectrum, but it affects everyone differently no one is perfect!. Some people are better at masking their emotions and feelings a lot of autistic people find it hard to communicate around people they don’t know or trust. 
I’m mildly autistic and I find it hard to listen to more that one person, I start to panic and get emotional I’m very quiet and don’t like talking if I don’t have to I much prefer my own company in my own safe space listening to calming music or reading a book.

Having unhealthy Toxic Friendships 

If you can’t agree with your friends and you always argue with them, maybe your just too different I always think it is important to share your opinion but people should understand that you are not always going to be right and move on. 
You need friends that bring you up! not put you down. If they comment on every move you make and point out your faults and insecurities It makes them come across as very jealous behavior. people need to make the effort with you as well its not just up to you all the time to keep the relationship going strong treat people the same way they treat you. 

Rude Racist and judgmental people  

You shouldn’t have to listen to uneducated narrow-minded people if you don’t want to! I would even go ahead and stand up for everyone in the world who can’t defend themselves because they don’t have the privilege like most of us do!. 
But arguing with someone who blames others simply because they can is like talking to a brick wall they won’t listen they don’t care they just want to insult and point the blame on someone who is different. 

Being a loner 

Not Liking people is fine it’s normal to hate its easy to do you might like to spend your time learning a new hobby reading an interesting book or creating amazing art. Your probably a very intelligent person who know more important things and enjoys weirdness.

Weird Mild Autism habits I had as a child

My autism isn’t that bad in my opinion the older I get the more I get used to it I never knew I had autism until just recently.

I have suffered with social anxiety my whole life and never thought my mental health has any connection.

While struggling with depression I was diagnosed with autism but I wasn’t surprised just a little upset.

My family have always seen me as the black sheep. shy, quiet, and a loner…

Thinking back to my child hood there were some questionable habits/oddness that were probably ignored.

Being OCD

I was incredibly stressed and anxious for a 5 year old and while moving to a new house school and town feared me I couldn’t cope. I couldn’t fit in or even communicate with anyone other than my mum and sister.

I think I developed this comfort so that It could distract me from my fear of being social. I’d be obsessively folding clothes brushing my hair flattened my bed sheets so they wouldn’t crease in the night.

Walking on tip toes

This calmed me so much my mum would do yoga with me after school and it really helped me feel safe.

Tapping and counting

This helped me be patient if I could count to ten and repeat

Skinpicking and face touching

Stroking my neck and touching my face while speaking helps me calmly communicate

loving classical music

When ever I’m anxious I just put on some classical music on.

Being fidgety

I can’t stand in one place for long it irrates me so much as long as I tap and stroke my neck

Lying on the floor and closing my eyes

School and maths was fun

I never thought school was boring I loved it. I never knew I was being bullied because I was having so much fun.

you should cut your fingernails anyways but to keep the temptation away it is so much harder to pop a spot if you don’t have nails. don’t go investing in any type of pimple popping tool either! they can cause more damage If not use properly I suggest going to see an aesthetician.

3. Keep Your Hands Busy

Finding a new hobby can help distract you from thinking about your skin, most of the time being anxious or bored can influence bad habits If you thinking about your skin put on some calming music and start cooking and cleaning.

Invest in Fidget Toys

Fidget toys such as spinners are great for helping wind down I love chilling with a coloring book before I go to bed.

3. Pimple patches

Pimple patches helped me from picking my skin during the night while I was sleeping they work like a treat! they also help the skin heal.

counting to 10 and stretching for a few mins is a great way to realize stress, having a balanced lifestyle will help your mental state of mind taking it one step at a time.
